How Important Is Small Business?

Small business is an essential part of our economy. It is too bad our politicians, main stream media, financial institutions and big business ignore this fact. The fact is that recent policies like government mandated health insurance and over-regulation are threatening the future of the small businesses that line main street America.
Reasonable regulations and government policies are acceptable to most of us. When they begin to interfere in small business growth we should recognize an enormous problem. The last two decades have shown the importance of small business to our economy. Investors and entrepreneurs take on significant risk to start a new business. We must insure our elected government representatives do not create policies that add to this risk and stagnate small business growth.
Over the coming months we will be presenting ideas and discussions that propose realistic regulations and policies that can be enacted to create true growth in our economy. This includes ideas to effectively reform our tax policy, eliminate over-regulation and strengthen our economy.
